Meet the 2013 - 2014 South Jersey Alumnae Chapter Officers!
Interim President: Tanya Dmytrow
Hi sisters! I was initiated into the Epsilon Epsilon chapter of Tri-Sigma in Fall 2002 (AN class!) During my time as a collegiate, I held many chair positions. I was Triangle Corespondent, Efficiency (we had 100% during my rein), Founder's Day, Risk Management, and Music. I was Treasurer in Fall 2004. I graduated from Stockton in Spring 2005 with a BS in Environmental Public Health. After graduating and getting married, I worked at the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. During that time, I graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a MS in Environmental Science. After 5 years at the NJDEP, I left to pursue a career as an environmental consultant in the private sector. I've been with my current firm, Kleinfelder, for a little over a year. I am currently the Chapter Advisor and Membership Recruitment Advisor for the Zeta Psi chapter at TCNJ. I have been advising since March 2010 and love it! I am so excited to be a part of the South Jersey Regional Alumnae chapter and proud to be serving as Vice President.
Secretary: Charlene (Char) Waltz
Hi everyone I just wanted to introduce myself. I am Char Waltz and I pledged in fall 2009. I currently work in an assisted living facility as an activities assistant. My job basically has me preparing for and running activities for my residents either by myself or with my director. A part of my job is taking minutes for different resident councils and clubs run by the residents but facilitated by staff, such as myself. Thanks for reading! I just wanted to give a little background on myself for those sisters who have not met me yet!
Treasurer: Christine (Chrissy) Berg
I'm 22 years old and live in Pitman, NJ. I love to travel and see new places so I decided to earn my BSN from Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, WV. I joined the Beta Delta chapter of Tri Sigma my sophomore year of college. During my time as an active member I've held many positions including: fundraising, webmaster, public relations, panhellenic/IFC representative, and social chair. I was also on Panhellenic officer board for a year as treasurer. I joined many other organizations in college but looking back Greek life was my absolute favorite part due to the true friendships I have made and experiences I will never forget. I now work at Union Hospital in Elkton, MD as a RN on their Surgical Specialty Unit. I absolutely love Tri Sigma and I plan on being an active alumna for a very long time!
Philanthropy and Events Coordinator: Caroline (Carrie) Schmidt
Hi Sigmas, I’m Caroline Schmidt part of Spring 2011 class and this year I will be the Events/Philanthropy coordinator for our alumni chapter. I am a public health graduate with a concentration in occupational therapy, I work at JSUMC on the weekends and a few outpatient therapy centers during the week until my Aquatic facility opens up in late September. It is also a gym, NJRC, for anyone in the Monmouth county area . I am very excited to be working with you and getting to know the sisters that made us a well known sorority! I have a lot of ideas for our chapter to help both the community and current chapters. Such as:
• Fundraising
• Walks
• Ladies nights
• Book Club
• Clothing Swaps
• And of course crafting!
We still have a lot to offer our community and Tri Sigma sprit to match it. Let’s make a difference in our community, our chapters, and our own lives. I’d also love to hear your ideas and work with you to make them reality; I am always reach able by phone (732-598-6094), email ([email protected]), or facebook.
